Roughly seventy years ago, J.J. and Willie Mae Carter built their farmhouse on a tract of rural land seven miles southwest of the nearest town. There, they raised eleven children. That home stood as a focal point for five generations of Carters until late 2022.

Stressing the importance of education, the Carters went on to groom men and women who would eventually go out and change the world in so many arenas. And they bestowed upon their lineage good examples of humility, love, kindness, loyalty, faith, discipline, and leadership.
